Key Components of CRPs

Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) is designed to support students in recovery from substance use and behavioral health challenges. Aligned with the Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) standards, CRP programs prioritize individualized support, community engagement, and academic success.

  1. Personalized Recovery Pathways

Recognizing that recovery is a unique and evolving journey, programs offer flexible support tailored to each student's needs. CRPs provide a range of recovery support options, including peer-led groups, counseling services, and wellness activities, allowing students to choose the path that best supports their recovery goals.

  1. Inclusive and Transparent Policies

CRPs are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all students in recovery. Their policies are designed to be transparent and inclusive, ensuring that all students feel supported and understood. We prioritize equity and integrity in our approach, fostering a community where every student can thrive.

  1. Dedicated Recovery Space

This program includes dedicated physical spaces on campus where students can gather, study, and participate in recovery-related activities. The dedicated spaces are designed to provide a supportive environment that reinforces the decision to engage in a lifestyle of recovery.

  1. Peer Support and Community Engagement

CRPs foster a collegiate recovery community where students can offer each other mutual aid and build lasting relationships. This community is integral to the program's success and provides a foundation for student's recovery journeys.

  1. Professional Staff Support

CRPs are supported by qualified, trained, and ethical professionals who are dedicated to assisting students in their recovery. These staff members provide guidance, resources, and support to help students navigate their academic and personal challenges.

  1. Academic and Personal Development

CRPs are committed to supporting students' academic success and personal growth. The program offers a variety of services, including academic advising, early course registration, and leadership development opportunities, to help students achieve their educational and personal goals.

  1. Collaboration with Campus Partners

CRPs actively collaborate with on- and off-campus partners to enhance the support available to our students. These partnerships help to create a comprehensive network of resources that students can access throughout their recovery journey.

  1. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

CRPs are dedicated to the ongoing development and improvement of our program. Through regular evaluations and feedback from students and staff, they strive to ensure that the program remains responsive to the needs of our community and aligned with best practices in collegiate recovery.
