The Rhode Island College Collegiate Recovery Program (RIC CRP) empowers students in recovery from substance use disorders and their allies through a welcoming, supportive, and educational campus community. The program is designed to help students thrive academically, personally, and socially by fostering wellness, connection, and a strong sense of belonging.

RIC CRP provides students with:

  • Peer support and mentoring
  • Recovery-focused activities and sober social events
  • Learning opportunities to build skills, knowledge, and confidence
  • Connections to campus-approved services and community resources that support recovery and overall well-being
  • Opportunities for leadership, service, and peer education

A central feature of the program is the collaboration between two student-led organizations, RICovery and RIC is Well. This partnership ensures programming is guided by student voices, creating an inclusive and responsive recovery community. By engaging students in recovery alongside allies, RIC CRP reduces stigma and fosters a campus culture where recovery, wellness, and academic success thrive.
