POSITION TITLE: Behavioral Health Clinician, DCYF Caring Dads

PROGRAM: DCYF Caring Dads 

FULL TIME Full- Time 

SALARY RANGE: $63,678.00 - $88,942.00 Salary

Summary: The Behavioral Health Clinician for Caring Dads is an integral member of the leadership team in the Home Division. The Behavioral Health Clinician will facilitate/co-facilitate weekly Caring Dads sessions provide treatment of referred dads and assist with barriers to care. Staff will conduct assessment screenings; treatment planning; evidence based therapeutic intervention; care coordination; consultation; and crisis evaluations on site, in office and other community venues as appropriate. The Behavioral Health Clinician will also provide supervision of assigned Community Health Workers, clinical support, and oversight of cases involved with Caring Dads. Behavioral Health Clinician will represent FSRI at internal and external subcommittees/meetings with the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), RI Family Court and community partners as identified and support advocacy efforts at local, state and federal levels.

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in human services related field required and LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, Psy.D, or license eligibility within 2 years of date of hire required (MSWs required to possess LCSW within 3 months of hire)

· Excellent verbal and written communication, organization and customer service skills required; experience building and maintaining relationships internally and externally with community partners

· Working knowledge of computers and ability to maintain data appropriately

· Prior experience in behavioral health, group facilitation, victim advocacy, engaging domestic violence offenders and/or crisis intervention preferred

· Commitment and sensitivity to issues related to the needs of parents & children, as survivors of Domestic Violence

· Prior experience with group facilitation

· Experience working with culturally diverse communities/families and demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate

· Valid driver license and reliable transportation

· Must pass RI BCI, National Fingerprint & DCYF CANTS check

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements: This position requires agency and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

· Travel within the community, to and from agency site locations, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators

· Ability to work a nontraditional work schedule to include some nights and weekends

· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs

· Ability to communicate effectively
