Employment and Recruitment Portal

One of the goals of Recovery Friendly Workplace is to pair RFW Members who have career postings with individuals in the recovery community ready to rejoin the workforce.

Employment plays a crucial role in the recovery journey of individuals facing substance use disorders or mental health challenges. Securing and maintaining employment provides a sense of purpose, routine, and structure, which are vital elements in the recovery process. Employment fosters a supportive environment that encourages individuals to build self-esteem, confidence, and a positive sense of identity. Meaningful work can contribute to a person's overall well-being by offering a sense of accomplishment and achievement. Moreover, stable employment often comes with access to essential benefits, including healthcare, which can be instrumental in addressing both physical and mental health needs. The workplace can also serve as a social outlet, facilitating connections with colleagues and reducing feelings of isolation. Ultimately, employment serves as a cornerstone in the holistic recovery journey, promoting stability, self-sufficiency, and a pathway to a healthier and more fulfilling life.

If you would like to work with the RFW team to post open positions at your business that can be designated for individuals in recovery, please reach out to us. We are in the process of gathering names of interested business. We will host an orientation session in the spring to discuss the details.
