We are hiring a full time Peer Recovery Specialist for our Providence, Pawtucket, and Mobile Unit locations

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide general discharge planning services and connections to additional social service agencies and recovery supports
· Ability to help participants enroll in insurance, connect them to employment, housing, primary care and other services as needed
· Develop relationships with community resources to support participants in areas of employment, housing, primary care and other needed services
· Help participants develop a viable plan for post release access to recovery resources
· Responsible to assist participants with medication management, help participants adhere to treatment schedules and educate participants on daily living skills
· To communicate effectively with service users, staff, and outside agencies
· Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to confidentiality regulations as stipulated in the CODAC Policy and Procedures Manual, Federal Regulation 42CFR part 2 and other pertinent Federal and State laws and regulations
· Ability to engage, inspire, support and empower the recovery journey
· Obtain and/or maintain appropriate credentialing and licensure
· Provide basic office tasks, if necessary
· Provide case presentations at clinical meetings
· Obtain and maintain cognitive behavioral/social learning techniques and motivational interviewing proficiency
· Participate in Performance Improvement activities
· Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of Peer Recovery Specialist Training or willing to to commit to completing Peer Recovery Specialist Training
Knowledge based on lived experience
