General Responsibilities:
The Associate Medical Director of Convenient Care, in conjunction with the site management team including the
Medical Director of Convenient Care, is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the provision of Convenient
Care services at a Thundermist location, as well as providing clinical care to patients in accordance with the
policies, procedures and philosophies of Thundermist Health Center. The Associate Medical Director is a key
member of the on-site management team, working closely with the Medical Director, Practice Manager/Director,
and Director(s) of Nursing in a variety of areas, including site/provider clinical quality performance and clinical
operations. The Associate Medical Director plays a major role in supporting the mission of the health center in the
community by acting as a liaison between the health center and the wider health professional community. The
Associate Medical Director works closely with the Medical Director in the area of clinical risk management and
issues pertaining to provider clinical performance. They would also be involved in Clinical Quality Improvement
and Professional Development projects.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
1. M.D/ D.O or APRN with Board Certification in Family Medicine, Pediatrics or Internal Medicine
2. One or more years of medical practice (post residency) in primary care practice specialty if physician;
2 or more years of clinical practice if APRN.
3. Full, unrestricted RI license to practice medicine.

Significant Job Functions:
Planning
· Participate with the Medical Director on the Thundermist Health Center Clinical Leadership team. As
a member of this team, you will participate in reviewing and setting Thundermist Health Center clinical
practices and policies.
Organize
· Work with the Medical Director and Practice director in organizing personnel and operational
activities of Thundermist Health Center to optimize productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
Staffing
· Prepare and recommend qualifications statements and center policy for credentialing, job descriptions and evaluation standards of medical providers; · In conjunction with the CMO and Medical Director, interview all medical provider candidates for the Thundermist Health Center location; · In conjunction with the Medical Director prepare and perform annual evaluations for all site medical providers in conjunction with the COO; · Provide supervision for all medical providers, including quality review audits; participate in determination of disciplinary actions and terminations of medical personnel in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Human Resources. · Help with professional development and career development and mentor/guide providers when needed. Monitoring · Interpret clinical data; manage and supervise medical care of patients. · In conjunction with Chief Operating Officer, Medical Director and Practice Director, participate in periodic review of practice management functions and measures; · In conjunction with the Medical director review patient satisfaction surveys in conjunction with the site leadership team, secondary review of patient complaints, primary responsibility for resolution of complaints against medical providers; · Participate in periodic clinical reviews, including provider dashboards and peer reviews. With the assistance of the Medical Director and Practice Director, monitor compliance with clinical standards.
Physical Effort/ Environment:
· This role is onsite
· While certain accommodations can be made, this position requires some physical exertion and
dexterity in performing certain medical procedures and rendering patient care.
Work Schedule Demands:
· Full time (40 hours) Consisting of 32 clinical hours and 8 administrative
Communication Skills:
· Exceptional oral and written skills needed. Proficient in medical terminology.
