Position Summary Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) is a dynamic growing department that offers majors in computer information systems, computer science, and cybersecurity. We work very closely with the exciting new Institute of Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies.
Essential Duties
  • Teach courses in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, computer information systems, data analytics, and/or computer science.
  • Advise students.
  • Assess student learning outcomes.
  • Engage in scholarly research and professional activities.
  • Serve on committees.
  • Participate in College and Departmental activities.
  • Contribute to course and program development.

Occasional Duties Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chair of the Computer Science and Information Systems Department.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Strong teaching skills in all main instruction modes, including in-person, hybrid and online courses.
  • Strong knowledge of the information technology industry in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, information systems and/or software development.
  • Strong ability to impart these skills and knowledge to undergraduate students at all levels.
Required Qualifications Doctorate in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the college level.
  • Industry experience in IS/IT and/or software development.
  • Interest in teaching and researching in one or more of the following or related areas: cybersecurity, data analytics/science, computer networking, cloud computing, and computer programming/software development.
  • Ability to teach in-person, hybrid and online courses.
  • Bilingual
Environmental Conditions The program is offered in a traditional laboratory and teaching facility.
