Position Summary  
Essential Duties
  • Teach courses in computer information systems and/or computer science.
  • Advise students.
  • Assess student learning outcomes.
  • Engage in scholarly research and professional activities.
  • Serve on committees.
  • Participate in College and Departmental activities.
  • Contribute to course and program development.

 

Occasional Duties Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chair of the Computer Science and Information Systems Department.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Good teaching skills.
  • Good knowledge of information systems and/or computer science.
  • Good ability to impart this knowledge to undergraduate students as well as fulfill all other job functions.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience teaching at the college/university level.
  • Industry experience in IS/IT and/or software development.
  • Interest in teaching and researching primarily in information systems and one or more of the following or related areas: data analytics/science, computer networking, cloud computing, computer programming/software development and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to teach in-person, hybrid and online courses.
Environmental Conditions The program is offered in a traditional laboratory and teaching facility.
