Position Overview The CRP Specialist supports the Credential Review Process for Rhode Island educators seeking certification through non-traditional pathways. This part-time, hybrid role (15 hours/week) involves reviewing applications, developing and evaluating individualized Plans of Study, and guiding candidates toward certification. The specialist collaborates with faculty, the Associate Dean’s office, and external partners (e.g., RIDE, school districts), ensuring accurate records, clear communication, and alignment with certification requirements
Essential Duties
  • Administer and track 100+ CRP applicants annually
  • Create and evaluate individualized Plans of Study
  • Recommend candidates for certification to RIDE
  • Coordinate communications and updates across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Maintain application systems and CRP website content
  • Generate reports on program metrics and revenue

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in education, preferably in RI schools and/or teacher preparation
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder environment

  • Master’s degree
