What you’ll do:

  • Serve as subject matter expert on DSNP CM team workflows, reports, processes, and procedures. Participate in regular workflow review and update as needed to ensure best practice 
  • Provide education, coaching, and feedback to care management staff to foster and maintain a high performing team; ensuring staff are working to their highest potential.  Document informal and formal supervision provided to team. 
  • Perform regular and necessary administrative functions such as  Workday approvals, attendance tracking, workload and metric reporting, and ensuring that policies and procedures and the DSNP Model of Care are followed. 
  • Conduct call and documentation audits for all assigned staff   per policy. Provide timely and meaningful feedback to supervisees on findings. Report patterns, gaps, and training needs to manager. 
  • Lead team huddles, rounds, and collaboration meetings with external providers, including thorough documentation of meeting minutes.   
  • Participate and/ or lead workgroups that support clinical strategies and initiatives.  
  • Conduct ongoing performance evaluation of  direct reports including performance management, staff recognition, fostering opportunities for development, and disciplinary action as needed. Complete semiannual and annual performance evaluation for team 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management 

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license issued by a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) or a Behavioral Health license (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) or a bachelors degree in Health Information Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to five years of experience in related healthcare field, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience or experience leading a team preferred

Location:
BCBSRI is headquartered in downtown Providence, conveniently located near the train station and bus terminal. We actively support associate well-being and work/life balance and offer the following schedules, based on role:

  • In-office: onsite 5 days per week
  • Hybrid: onsite 2-4 days per week
  • Remote: onsite 0-1 days per week. Permitted to reside in the following states, pending approval from the Human Resources Department: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia
