Do you love spending time with kids? Are you a looking to make a lasting impact? East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking energetic part-time (15 hours a week) Education Assistants to join our dynamic Newport Family Child Opportunity Zone team!

You'll use those same skills that made camp magical – building relationships, creating fun learning experiences, and supporting kids through their daily adventures – in our before/after school programs and vacation camps.

What You'll Do:

• Bring the camp spirit to before and after school programs, enrichment activities, and school vacation camps for K-8 students
• Be a positive role model using the encouragement and enthusiasm that made you great with campers
• Create welcoming environments by greeting students, families, and helping with daily routines like attendance and snack time
• Lead engaging activities and help prepare materials that spark curiosity and joy in learning
• Use your natural ability to connect with kids and support their social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with amazing colleagues who share your passion for youth development

Perfect If You Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Camp counselor background – we value your hands-on experience with children! Camp counselor background – we value your hands-on experience with children!
• One year of experience working with school-age children in groups (camp experience counts!)
• Heart for positive behavior support and conflict resolution
• Bonus points for: Associate degree, Teacher Assistant Certification, or bilingual Spanish skills
