The East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is looking for dedicated School Age Childcare Educators to join our 5-star rated Champion Childcare program at Pell Elementary School in Newport, RI.

What You'll Do:

  • Design engaging, age-appropriate activities and curriculum for elementary-aged children
  • Foster a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
  • Support children's academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Work alongside classroom teachers to provide additional resources for students who need extra support
  • Help develop 21st century skills through creative programming
  • Mentor and guide childcare assistants

What We're Looking For:

  • Associate's degree or 60+ college credits in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Human Services, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in licensed childcare or school-age programs
  • Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Spanish language skills (bilingual candidates especially welcome!)
  • Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs
  • Knowledge of positive behavior management techniques
