POSITION TITLE: Clinical Director, DCYF Best Start 

PROGRAM: DCYF Best Start 

FULL TIME: 40 hours per week 

SALARY RANGE: $77750.00 - $96672.00 Salary

Summary: The Clinical Director oversees and supervises the service delivery, clinical, and administrative aspects of the Best Start (BSRI) Program both remotely and in person. This position ensures that children and families receive the services required by Department of Children, Youth and Family (DCYF) promoting equity, safety and wellbeing. Responsible for all reporting requirements and that documentation is completed within required timelines. This position partners, supports, and attends meetings with other programs within Family Service of Rhode Island and external entities. Assists with grant writing and other funding opportunities ensuring all budgetary and contractual goals are met. The position also provides direct services to families.

Qualifications:

Licensed independent discipline though Rhode Island Department of Health.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in community health, public health or community-based care.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with young children and their families.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience providing reflective supervision of direct service staff.

Knowledge of Substance Abuse and Complex Needs of families and the effects on infants and children.

Knowledge of telehealth platforms and ability to provide services remotely in a confidential and secure space, and in person.

Current and valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Current CPR certification.

Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.

Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.

Physical Requirements:

Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.

Ability to lift up to 20lbs.

Ability to work remotely and adhere to all agency PHI requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively.
