Position Overview Reporting to the Director of Institutional Diversity, the Temporary Deputy Title IX Coordinator is responsible for helping to manage caseload and ensure compliance with federal and state non-discrimination laws, including those pertaining to gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment, and compliance with the College’s related policies. Deputy Title IX Coordinator is also responsible for assisting in the assessment, investigation and adjudication of matters of equity and non-discrimination.
Essential Duties • Assist Director with Title IX compliance, including monitoring and implementing actions to comply with Title IX in accordance with other related federal laws and regulations.
• Assist with management of all discrimination, Title IX, and pregnancy cases; schedule and conduct intakes with parties, coordinate supportive measures and/or modifications, implement case management for all reported incidents and/or investigations, including maintenance of electronic records.
• Support training efforts and initiatives on equal opportunity, affirmative action, Title IX, and related issues as needed
• Support project work including review of college policies, procedures, protocols, and practices to ensure Title IX and Civil Rights compliance
• Contribute to the formulation of the College’s annual Affirmative Action Report;
assist with the development of statistical reports as needed.
Occasional Duties Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Equity and/or the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities • Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with federal and state laws, including Title IX, VAWA, Campus SaVE.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity and anti-racism.
• Commitment to and demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a trauma informed manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently and meet responsibilities/deadlines in a time- sensitive environment.
• Effective organization, information, and record management methods, including managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion and respect.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Operate and effectively use office software applications and technologies.
Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field
• Minimum of two years of relevant related experience in complaint resolution, investigations, and grievances.

 
Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in a related field
• Previous training, knowledge, experience in Title IX, VAWA, Campus SaVE, and related federal and state laws.
• Experience with Maxient, PeopleSoft, and Vector platforms and software systems.
• Bilingual (fluent in speaking and writing)
