Essential Duties | Successful candidates will be expected to teach three courses in the fall and spring semesters (3-3 load), with the opportunity to teach summer courses for additional compensation. Classes are small thus allowing for significant student interaction. The college has an average student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1, and most class sizes range between 10 and 30 students. Faculty are also expected to engage in scholarly research leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals, advise up to 30 students, and to provide service to the school and college. The IACBE-accredited School of Business at Rhode Island College invites applications for one open rank, tenure-track faculty position (assistant, associate, or full) in Marketing. We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in teaching with additional emphasis on research. A successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory marketing courses with at least some of the following: global marketing, service marketing, digital marketing, business marketing, retail marketing. There may also be opportunities to develop and/or teach other courses. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in marketing analytics, AI, creativity, and contemporary and developing marketing technologies.
