Our Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence is looking for a 1st shift full-time(36 hours per week)Behavioral Health Worker (BHW).Our innovative, holistic, trauma-informed inpatient program for substance use and mental health disorders, located in the heart of Providence, is the first of its kind.

The BHW is a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented role.This is a front-line position with a high degree of client interaction, from admissions to safety checks to transporting clients to recreational and therapeutic activities.

An ideal candidate:

  • Is detail-oriented, self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.

  • Maintains appropriate professional boundaries.

  • Possesses excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with and receive supervision and training from nurses, counselors, case managers, and prescribers.

  • Ensures client safety and satisfaction.Flexible schedules available: can discuss upon interview.

  • Promotes client recovery, understands the impact of trauma, prioritizes client safety, and responds to client emergencies or crises with support.

  • Transport clients to and from the Acute Stabilization Unit

Education/Licensing Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. CNA, associate degree in human services-related field, or attending school for same preferred; can substitute with 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Must have a valid drivers license and proof of liability insurance.
