Why this job matters:
Support and track the implementation and daily operations of behavioral health (BH) initiatives and strategic objectives. Responsibilities will include assisting in tracking program metrics and opportunities, as well as helping to maintain the visibility of behavioral health initiatives within the organization and the community.
What you will do:

Provide administrative support for the management of behavioral health programs and projects, ensuring alignment with an integrated, cost-effective delivery model to improve member quality of life.

Assist in maintaining and implementing contracts with behavioral health facilities, ensuring a quality-focused, high-performing network.

Coordinate the operational aspects of behavioral health programs, including tracking operational issues and optimizing relationships with key stakeholders for efficient problem resolution planning.

Facilitate the development and implementation of behavioral health programs by identifying key stakeholders, defining business requirements, overseeing execution, and monitoring program metrics. Support the management of project timelines, deliverables, and resources efficiently.

Assist with the development and implementation of a provider communication strategy. Collaborate with identified areas to develop and maintain a behavioral health provider web page.

Prepare and organize presentation decks that effectively convey program and project strategies, goals, and initiatives. Utilize documentation, data, and reports to assist management in presenting these materials to internal groups and quality oversight committees.

Participate in department projects and initiatives, providing project support as needed.

Perform other administrative and project duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:

Knowledge of behavioral health services, including mental health and substance use treatment

Knowledge of project management principles, including planning, execution, and monitoring

Knowledge of stakeholder identification, engagement strategies, and relationship management

Knowledge of managed benefits strategies, utilization review techniques, health care financing and delivery, and disease management and case management program development

Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables.

BCBSRI is headquartered in downtown Providence, conveniently located near the train station and bus terminal. We actively support associate well-being and work/life balance and offer the following schedules, based on role:
- In-office: onsite 5 days per week
- Hybrid: onsite 2-4 days per week
- Remote: onsite 0-1 days per week. Permitted to reside in the following states, pending approval from the Human Resources Department: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia
