Summary: Part-time position responsible for the development, implementation, and supervision of the provision of educational services at Mount Pleasant Academy. Develops and maintains the school’s policy and procedures manuals, ensures the school’s accreditation and licensure, and represents the school and Agency on external committees, focus groups, and councils. 

Qualifications:  

  • Requires RI Provisional Certification as Administrator of Special Education 

  • Experience with BD/ED children 

  • Supervisory experience 

  • Computer literacy. 

  • Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay. 

Physical Requirements: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: 

  • Travel to and from clients residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively. 

  • Ability to participate in physical crisis intervention with students as needed
