Description

Community Care Alliance is seeking a part-time, 20-hour lead nurse for the Acute Stabilization (ASU). The ASU is an innovative, trauma-informed, 16-bed inpatient behavioral health crisis unit. We are seeking a psychiatric RN with the vision, creativity, and integrity necessary to lead and inspire a team of RNs and LPNs. The lead nurse will drive the core and essential nursing processes that ensure quality treatment and work experiences.

Responsibilities as listed below, will be specific to the nursing team and will be completed in collaboration with the unit's director, deputy director, and lead behavioral health worker. 

These responsibilities will include:
-Reviewing and/or drafting policies and procedures
-Providing 1:1 and group supervision, training, and in-service
-Meeting regularly with the unit's psychiatric and medical prescribers to review cases and unit processes and practices
-Ensuring systems are organized, clear, and efficient and promote best possible outcomes for staff and clients alike
-Completing annual performance appraisals
-Hiring, training, and onboarding
-Scheduling
-Meeting with external partners to design and monitor care coordination efforts
-This is not a direct care position, though the lead RN should be prepared to assist in these functions if and as needed for the purposes of modeling, training, and assisting their team.

Requirements:
-Valid Rhode Island Registered Nurse (RN) license.
-Minimum three years experience in behavioral health.
-Ability to handle crisis situations and interface with clients and colleagues in a calm, trauma-informed, and responsible manner.
-Demonstrated proficiency in leadership, training, quality assurance, compliance, and group facilitation.
